"The Masque of Forsaken Gods" is a beautifully haunting poem written by Clark Ashton Smith in 1912, now brought to new life in this fully-illustrated paperback edition. In the poem, old gods like Jove, Pan, Artemis, and more lament that humanity no longer believes in them, and they are "Throneless, discrowned, and impotent,/In man's sad disillusionment."
